Launch Your Marketplace
With the latest update on the platform, now you can create a test marketplace, play around with it and once you’re fully satisfied, you can launch your marketplace within the site.
To learn more about how you can create a test marketplace and play around with its settings, go to this link.
Assuming that you have already created a test marketplace and played around with it, and you’re ready to launch, go to “https://app.marketplacekit.com/tryouts/”. You can see a list of test marketplaces and a notice/prompt asking you “Ready to launch your marketplace?”
Click “Get started now” and you will be redirected to the memberships page where you can subscribe to any one of the subscription plans.
Once you’ve successfully subscribed to a plan, you will be redirected to the live version.
Enter a name for your live marketplace and click “Confirm & create” and your live site will be created.
If you scroll down a little bit, you can now see additional options for the live site.
Here, you can add a custom domain that you’d like to use for your marketplace. Just type in your domain in the input box and the value in the DOMAIN, CNAME section will be auto-populated. You can use these settings and add them to your DNS management settings on your hosting server.
Once you’ve added these CNAMEs on your site’s DNS settings, come back to the page and click Confirm DNS to check if they’re added or not. If you’ve successfully added your domain, you can also click on “Request SSL” to request an SSL on your site.
If you scroll down further on the page, you can see “Advanced controls” for your marketplace.
These are for rebuilding your site once you’ve edited the HTML and for cache clearance.
